How to Request Account Deletion
Sieve is a B2B platform where accounts are created and managed by your organization's administrator (Managing Partner). You may request deletion of your personal data using the methods below.
From the App
- Open the Sieve app on your device
- Tap the Account tab in the bottom navigation
- Scroll down and tap Delete Account
- Review the information about what happens to your data
- Tap Request Deletion and confirm
- Your request is submitted directly to our team with your account details
- We will process your deletion request and coordinate with your organization's administrator to complete access removal
Via Email
If you no longer have access to the app, you can request account deletion by emailing us directly:
- Email: hello@arceusxventures.com
- Subject: Account Deletion Request – Sieve
- Include: The email address associated with your Sieve account
We will process your request within 7 business days and confirm deletion via email.
What Happens to Your Data

| Google account connection | Disconnected — Sieve is removed from your Google permissions |
| Deals and analyses you contributed to | Retained by your organization — this is organizational business data |
| Comments and activity history | Anonymized — displayed as "Deleted User" |
| Uploaded documents | Retained by your organization as business assets |
Data Retention Timeline
- Immediate: Your access is revoked and you can no longer sign in
- Within 7 business days: Personal data is removed from active systems
- Up to 90 days: Backup copies may be retained for disaster recovery and legal compliance, after which they are permanently purged
- Indefinitely: Aggregated, anonymized analytics data (not personally identifiable) may be retained
Personal data is not retained beyond the stated retention period unless legally required.
This is consistent with our Privacy Policy, Section 8 (Data Retention).
Why Can't I Delete My Account Directly?
Sieve is an enterprise platform designed for venture capital teams. Accounts are created by your organization's Managing Partner, who adds team members and manages access. This is similar to how platforms like Slack, Notion, and Figma handle account management for business workspaces.
Because deals, analyses, and investment data belong to the organization (not individual users), account removal requires coordination with your administrator to ensure proper handoff of any shared resources.
Enterprise Account Model
Sieve is an enterprise platform where accounts are provisioned by organizations. Individuals cannot independently register accounts.
When an account deletion request is submitted:
- Personal data is permanently deleted from Sieve systems
- Access to the platform is revoked immediately
- Organizational business records remain with the organization, as they are not personal property
If an organization does not respond to a removal request, Sieve will independently process deletion of personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under applicable data protection laws (including GDPR and CCPA):
- Access — Request a copy of your personal data
- Correction — Request correction of inaccurate data
- Deletion — Request deletion of your personal data (this page)
- Portability — Receive your data in a portable format
